Scaffolding in Liskeard
Liskeard is an old stannary market town in south-east Cornwall, set on hills above the Looe valley. We scaffold its stone townhouses and terraces, and homes and businesses in Looe, Menheniot, Dobwalls and Callington.
Reached from our Carnon Downs yard via the A30 and A38.
The buildings we scaffold around Liskeard
Liskeard's centre has handsome Victorian stone buildings around the Parade and Pike Street, with terraces running down its steep streets. Looe crowds cottages and holiday lets around the harbour on both sides of the river. Menheniot and Dobwalls are village homes, bungalows and newer estates, while Callington mixes older terraces with modern housing. Re-roofs, chimney work, extensions, loft conversions and solar installs are the jobs we see most.
Hills, river valleys and access
Few streets around Liskeard and Looe are level. We plan stepped foundations and base lifts on slopes, and in Looe the narrow lanes often mean kit has to be carried in by hand. Every scaffold follows a TG20:21 design worked out for the site. Where a job needs a pavement licence or road space, we build the timing into the programme from the start.
How a Liskeard job runs
We use our own stock from the yard at Carnon Downs. You get a written assessment within 24 hours of the survey, and most jobs are up 5 to 7 working days after acceptance. Our CISRS-qualified crews hand over with a scaff-tag, inspections follow every seven days, and we carry £5m public liability cover. We are CHAS accredited and rated 5.0 on Google.
