Design & temporary works scaffolding in Cornwall & Devon

Bespoke designed scaffolds for demolition, structural support, propping and complex geometry across Cornwall and Devon — compliant scaffold design and temporary works, delivered on programme.

    What the service involves

Where a job sits outside the TG20:21 compliant-sheet envelope — heavy load bays, cantilevered platforms, façade retention, propping to an unstable structure, demolition scaffolds, bridge decks, temporary staircases, or scaffolds carrying plant, hoardings or media — we commission a bespoke scaffold design from a qualified scaffold engineer. Every calculation is documented, drawings are issued for construction, and the erected scaffold is inspected against the design before handover. We also provide temporary works coordination on projects where multiple structures interact, working alongside the client's Temporary Works Coordinator to hit CDM and BS 5975 requirements.

Why the Tubix approach fits designed scaffolds

Main contractors and structural engineers need a scaffolding contractor who understands the design chain — from a scaffold design brief and category checks through to signed drawings, permits to load, and handover paperwork that satisfies a Principal Contractor. Tubix crews are CISRS-qualified and supervised by our CISRS Advanced Gold Card foreman, with the full paperwork trail — design, calculations, RAMS, ties log, inspection record — delivered as standard. Because we invest continually in our own tube, fittings, boards, beams and plant, we can mobilise bespoke designed scaffolds quickly across Cornwall and Devon without waiting on external hire.

Typical Cornwall & Devon use case

A commercial demolition in Plymouth needs a designed façade-retention scaffold to preserve a listed frontage while the rear structure is taken down. We commission the scaffold design, coordinate with the client's Temporary Works Coordinator, erect the retention system with CISRS-supervised crews, and maintain the weekly inspection record through the demolition and rebuild programme — one point of accountability from design through to strike.
