Solar PV access scaffolding in Cornwall
Roof-edge access for MCS-registered PV installers across Cornwall and Devon — priced per install, mobilised to your date, and struck the day the panels are commissioned.
What the service involves
A PV job usually needs a single top lift at 150mm below eaves along the panel elevation, boarded and double-guardrailed, with a safe ladder tower at the gable and a soft-touch corner into a hip if there is one. Where the installer needs to work both slopes, we run the top lift around the perimeter or bridge across a valley. If the property has a conservatory below the panel run we protect the roof with a debris-catch fan so nothing dropped can crack the glass. Standard for a domestic PV install is a two-day erect, install window, one-day strike.
Why the Tubix approach fits solar work
PV installers live on margin and programme. A scaffold that turns up on the wrong day costs a full crew day, and a scaffold that fails a spot-check delays commissioning. Tubix is CISRS-qualified and designs to TG20:21, with a Scaff-tag on every access and a digital handover so the installer's site file is complete when the DNO paperwork goes in. We hold new, fully compliant BS EN 12811 / BS 1139 tube-and-fitting stock at Carnon Downs, so a job three weeks out and a job three days out both get the same crew, the same kit, and the same 24-hour written assessment. Volume installers can standardise a per-install rate with us across Cornwall and Devon.
Typical Cornwall use case
A 12-panel domestic install on a bungalow near Helston needs roof-edge access on one elevation for two days. We attend, issue the assessment inside 24 hours, drop on the morning of day one, and strike within 24 hours of the installer signing off — one point of contact, one invoice, one paperwork pack for your MCS file.
